I have five large spools of string, a single cut off to the side, and a tangled mess of probably eight others behind me right now. The only one I care to try and measure is the single cut piece lying on it’s own, and that comes out to 14 and a quarter inches so lets go with that.
If you are interested in the length of the thread, chain, wires, sadness, rope, or network cabling behind me as well then I’ll just make a wild guess of their averages and go with probably 20-25 feet.
Since this is a thread about fighters I think the electrical wiring would be the most appropriate one to ask about though since that’s used in aircaft. These are at ~20 feet or ~8 feet but for the couple rolls I’ve made use of those are a bit shorter.
Of course fighters are meant for fighting so the chain also wouldn’t be a bad call as while many of the others might break if you tried to strangle someone with them I am quite confident in the strength of my chains. One of the ropes is also rather strong though I could probably chew through it if given some time or a sufficient number of pet mice.
But I seem to have digressed a bit much, to get to the point the answer would clearly be the length of whatever piece of string you are curious about times one, plus the number of shits given and the amount of time it took you to read this post minus your attention span.
