IIRc, they pretty much resolved that issue, but it had pretty serious problems with overheating. Firing a bullet produces a huge amount of heat, some of which exits through the barrel behind the bullet, but much of which is absorbed by the shell casing which is then ejected, or else released when the chamber opens. In the G11, that never really happens, so you get a lot of heat (especially considering this things rate of fire) with nowhere to go. The gun being polymer did not help matters at all.
