Mirror polished Smith & Wesson 500

Share this on Facebook download .zip with all pictures

I did it by hand with a rag and polishing paste. It took me about 10 hours of work or so (combined). I did this over the course of many weeks and months. The good thing about it is that there isn’t some kind of phase when it didn’t look good. It just looked better and better from the first time I started polishing. So if you think of doing this with your gp100, go on. You can’t do much wrong.

I have two friends who also polished their revolvers and it took them way less time. I guess the 500 SW is made of extremely hard steel which made it such a pain to polish.
