Had the 556 for a few years now(5ish) and have had no reliability issues. I run steel case 99% of the time and it eats everything. Accuracy is more than adequate, but to be honest, I have never benched it with good ammo and decent optics. With the Eotech I can hit everything I point at, and so far it’s been good enough for me. I love this rifle. Had some AKs and an AR, and I would choose this every day of the week.
The 522 is a bit newer, and had a rough start. The factory sights. were utter garbage. The front sight mount is canted of the barrel a smidge, and made it a pain to find a zero on iron sights. With the red dot, it’s awesome. Shotgun shells are easily targets at 50 Yards. It is reliable with jacketed ammo, with lead, it fouls up fast and has issues. Blast to shoot, and cheaper than the 556.
