I know the military version uses a dual stage for full auto operation. All I can say about the civilian version is the trigger is everything you don’t want it to be. Mushy, with creep and overtravel. Not to say it isn’t manageable, but I would certainly like to see how it stacks up to some of the competition like the Tavor before purchasing.
With the proliferation of high quality semi .308 guns like the OBR, it puts me in a pickle as far as the DTA bolt guns go. I don’t think a bolt gun makes sense until you get into .338 levels of power, but that chassis is only compatible with smaller rounds like .308. I want one chassis that shoots .338 and above. The caliber change capability is one of the cooler things about the gun, but the way the chassis are divided doesn’t make sense for my needs.
