> Well, it is the preferred rifle/carbine of the SEALs and is now correctly known as the gun that killed Osama Bin Laden.
This statement always bothers me because it implies that the 416 killed Bin Laden better somehow. Any modern firearm in the hands of those men would have function exactly the same 99.99% of the time. In the hands of arguably the worlds greatest soldiers, I doubt it really made a difference. I have also read mixed reports about how often it is used. Supposedly some SEALs leave it on the gun rack, others don’t. I’m sure they all have their preferences just like we do. Just because someone gave the contract to H&K doesn’t inherently make it every SEAL’s favorite.
Nevertheless I do realize is a fine rifle. I have respect for the platform, and hell I WANT to like H&K, but something is stopping me from doing it. Despite this, I wish I was as lucky as you to have such a well built firearm in my collection haha. I guess I will be content with my Arsenal until some money comes my way.
