This is not the type of firearm one carries, it is purely for sport shooting, and intended to look no more “dangerous” than a chess set. Presumably every feature on it is exactly the most you can get away with in the open category, which allows you to enhance every feature of the gun for shooting quickly. Sport pistol shooting (my experience comes from IPSC) involves running through a course shooting targets as quickly as possible, your score is based on your accuracy and overall time.
The “LED blue super targeting system” allows you to acquire each target faster with both eyes open. The blue colour is an anti-reflective coating on the glass which allows more light to pass through, thus maximizing image clarity, just like how binocular lenses look red or green.
Not sure what you mean by “candy popper” but if you mean the barrel extension, it is a cap which you can unscrew to fit a suppressor or muzzle brake. A muzzle break vents the bullet’s propellant up, counteracting the rise from recoil, keeping you on the target, in IPSC you must shoot every target twice.
As for the flaming skull, that is possibly a special request from the customer since I cannot find any other instances of ZEV custom guns featuring that logo.
As for children being exposed to firearms, as you say they shouldn’t carry them, and I doubt they can even carry them (legally) in most civilized countries, however sport shooting is entirely different and very safe. It also teaches respect and personal improvement, since they must be taught how to correctly handle such a dangerous implement, and they can feel great accomplishment from improving their accuracy.
My experience with ranges and gun sports has been very positive, if anyone acted dangerously I can guarantee they would be stopped and sternly disciplined, since any slight accident could result in the range being shut down permanently.
