> Yea, as in his buddy said, “Fuck this I’m going back down to grab MREs,
I highly doubt they were eating MREs at the Qatar embassy.
> keep my rifle in case some shit happens.”
Why wouldn’t he just take the rifle with him?
> Also rifles being zeroed for the other person aren’t gonna make much of a difference for the M16
Yea it makes a difference.
> The armory wouldn’t give out 2 rifles to one sniper, that’s why he got the M9, and it’s pretty standard in a STA for the shooter to get the bolt gun and the spotter to get an M16/M203.
Yes they would. [Or is somebody else on a MRE run???](http://www.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/new_scout-sniper_rifle_f1.jpg)
I wasn’t a scout sniper and I had two rifles and a pistol. AMA.
> I don’t see why it makes these circumstances any different because his spotter stood up and took a moto pic and is out of the frame.
It is possible that it is the spotter’s rifle. I just think it is highly unlikely.
It just does not make sense for the spotter to put his rifle and all his stuff on the opposite side of the sniper.
